April Grover
April Grover is a third generation
surfer. She was taught by her mother and father at the age of 4 in Cocoa
Beach, Florida. Growing up in Florida where some of the best professional
surfers in the world hail from, April was influenced by the surf environment
and wanted to become a professional surfer herself. At age 16 April entered
her first contest and place Second. Since then April has chased her dream
to become a professional surfer.

April’s knowledge of the
surf industry grew when, at 16 she was noticed and acquired her first corporate
sponsor. After leaving her mark on the Florida surf scene at age 19
she moved to Hawaii to challenge herself on the North Shore (the world’s
surfing capital).
April has just graduated
from the University of Hawaii, her major was Apparel Product Design &
Merchandising and she's focused her studies in Promotion, Marketing, and
Business. April is also the owner of Apalila LLC Surf School and teaches
surf lesson when she not competing around the world in surf contest.
April has safety certificates
including CPR, First Responder, Open Water Rescue, Lifeguard training course,
Ocean Safety Educational Course, and is a certified surf instructor in
Hawaii.
Professional Career
April is committed to the
sport of Surfing. Most recently April was chosen from over six thousands
to be one of MTV’s “Surf Girls” and placed as a top finalist! The girls
traveled around the world (Australia, Samoa, Tahiti, Hawaii, Moora, and
New Zealand) competing to become a professional surfer. April did indeed
accomplish her goal.
April is involved in all
aspects in the sport of surfing. This past year April landed a part on
Fox’s "NORTH SHORE" as a surfing stunt double for a main actress. She was
also featured as a surfer in a Coke-Cola national TV ad, Slightly Stoopid
music video on MTV, and aFrench TV Extreme Sports Show.

in many internationally and national surf magazines such as (Surf Life
for Women, SG, Longboard, Free Surf, ESM, Heavy water, and Surf World and
Surf Life in Japan). April Grover's Surf School has had a number of articles
written about the school in Longboard Magazine, Women's Surf Style Magazine,
Surf Life (Japanesse), and The Bridal Magazine. April is looking forward
for whatever life may bring next and thanks God for every opportunity he’s
blessed her with.
